Visit from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service

John the Education Officer told us all about how to keep safe in a fire.  Remember:

Some of us had a go at dressing up in the uniform as quickly as we could!

We had a tour of the fire engine and found out all about the equipment.

We saw what it was like to be a firefighter in 1666 when the Fire of London happened.  We had to work together to pass the buckets of water along the line.

If you want to find out more about keeping safe at home and to help "train your family"  to be safe you can click on the Dorset Fire Service website: http://www.dorsetfire.gov.uk/safety/safe-d-kids/safe-d-award/
We also enjoyed some role play in the afternoon on how to train our family on how to be safe with irons, ovens and electrical sockets among other things.
