Mrs Peterson was wondering why we needed to learn multiplication and our times tables when we are not in our classroom. When she missed her train from Gillingham to London because she didn't count in 5s properly to tell the time she wished she knew her 5 times table. Then she went shopping and didn't buy enough treats for her children to make it fair and she wished she could count in 4s properly.
So we are doing lots of activities to help us use our times tables in lots of different ways. They even use them at Legoland! We tried to sort lots of glass beads, tell the time, and then tested ourselves with Mrs Hall using the High Fives tables outside our classroom.
